The negotiations with the record companies are wrapped up, and the contract is in the bag!

Now we'll hit the studio. This time around we're taking the time to file it down to that typical MEGAHERZ sound. Studio exit: end of June.

The LP will be released by the label ZYX-Music. They shared our success with the first 3 albums including the bestseller KOPFSCHUSS and it's time to revive the glory days for our true fans and win new ones along the way.

Further information as to the release date will be announced soon. In the meantime, we will post pics from the studio sessions along with some surprises . . . just a little something to pass the time till the recording is in your hands . . . .

New singer and drummer confirmed

The band line-up is complete again with a new singer and drummer!  The new guy on the microphone is LEX.  The new force on the drums is Jürgen Wiehler, a.k.a. Bam Bam.

With LEX, we had an excellent gig in Moscow.  He joined us about half a year ago. We feel as comfortabel as we ever did before and we know that you will feel it in our new songs! Along with song writing and working in the studio we rehearse regularly and work with full speed on the new live set. The commitment within the band is incredible and you can feel how much power there is in these guys.

To be perfectly prepared for the recording studio we will play warm-up gigs before the release of the sixth album. The date of the first gig is already set (Nov. 10, 2007 - Ingolstadt, SPL Eventhalle). Upcoming dates will published on this site.

Everyone is willing and hot to play the first gig, so we can rock your socks off with old MHZ classics and some of the new songs.

The negotiations with the record label is nearing completion.  Soon we can hopefully provide you with good news.

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the release of the CD Wer bist du, ZYX has put together a special DVD highlighting the musical highs of Megaherz during their association with the label. The DVD was released on June 29, 2007 and can now be found in our shop. The DVD is in a region free and in NTSC format.

Megaherz 5 - US Release

Eclipse Records is releasing Megaherz 5 in the USA on March 7, 2006! You should be able to find it in larger retailers everywhere such as Tower Records or Virgin. You can also preorder it on Amazon.com and you will be able to order it here soon as well. The tracklisting is the same as the German edition but the CD extra part (wallpapers, etc.) has been translated into English.

Germany tour cancelled

Dear fans and friends,

On the first of September 2005, Mathias our singer left the band. Not only was this a total surprise for us the band, our management Extratours, and S.A.D. Music our record company, but more than anything, we can not comprehend his reasons. Since this day we in the team have been working nonstop and have tried everything humanly possible to save our tour in Germany. Unfortunately we were not able to find a successor for Mathias in such a short time. Because of this, we must, with a heavy heart, cancel all of our concerts until the end of the year.

Megaherz's second album Kopfschuss will finally be released in the US on September 6, 2005 as Megaherz II. The ZYX affiliate Benz Street is putting it out, just as they did for Megaherz I (Wer bist du). The tracklisting will be identical to the German version. You can pre-order the CD on Amazon.com and it will of course be available in the Megaherz.com Shop soon.

Old love never dies!

Starting at once, Frank G., the drummer from the original Megaherz line-up (Wer bist du, Kopfschuss, Himmelfahrt) will join in at our live concerts.

Old love never dies! This motto has proven itself to be completely true on the January leg of the "Dein Herz schlägt – Tour '05"! It did us good and was a lot of fun to be on stage and to party again with our "old" friend! Jürgen Zink is leaving on account of a professional situation which for him is a dead-end, and which we all can no longer tolerate. Many thanks for the cool and creative time!

So far the band has had a successful start in stores with the new album "Megaherz - 5", a successful tour in clubs that were almost always sold out, and a strong entry into the DAT20-Charts with the first single from the new album, "Dein Herz schlägt".

Not every fan has the chance to see Megaherz live on stage, but the band and label think that every fan should at least have the chance to see the band in action in a video. So, in the next few weeks, Megaherz will be filming one for their next single which will likely be released in March, together with the presentation of the video. It has not yet been revealed which song it will be for, but that there will be a video is a done deal.

The new line-up is as follows: Christian "X-ti" Bystron (guitars), Jürgen Zink (drums), Mathias "Jablonski" Elsholz (vocals), Wenz (bass). Megaherz are now on the new label S.A.D. Music. The band is gearing up for their new tour to support Megaherz 5 which kicks off in Belgium on December 11, 2004.

Dear friends – dear Megaherz family,
on December 6, 2004 the time will have come! A lot has happened and we can finally provide you with news all about the new album:

  1. The new Megaherz album "Megaherz – 5" will be released on December 6, 2004. 13 songs between hard guitars and seemingly dark, thoughtful moments.
  2. The club single "Dein Herz schlägt" is being sent to DJs as of today, but is not available in stores. Right now we are trying to get a small limited run for our shop.
  3. The redesigned www.megaherz.com and www.megaherz.de will be relaunched on the release date of "Megaherz – 5".
  4. The "Dein Herz schlägt" – Tour '04/'05 with 18 new concerts in Germany and Switzerland has been confirmed, further shows are being planned (including Austria).
  5. The second single "Ja Genau" will possibly be released before the start of the tour in January '05. A video is planned.
  6. The release of "Megaherz – 5" in other European countries as well as in the USA is in preparation.
  7. The rehearsals for the "Dein Herz schlägt" - Tour '04/'05 are beginning at the moment.
  8. The Mastering for "Megaherz – 5" will be brought to an end by the end of the week and the album will be in its final form.
